I have a number of cheap multimeters but I wanted something a bit more sophisticated, with more AC and DC current ranges and sensitivity, as well as the ability to measure capacitance. This is a decent multimeter for a hobbyist. The meter itself is off by a little, but it is within normal accepted range for home use. The display is large and the backlight makes it clear and easy to read in low light. The backlight could stay lit a little longer in my opinion and the manual could be better written, but if you have used a multimeter before this is not a big problem. As it has been pointed out the thermocouple could also be better marked so as to avoid inserting it backwards and receiving false temperature readings.Quality Price Value
If you need a meter with more than the average functions for home use then get this one. If you are looking for a precision instrument for professional work then keep looking. It would be nice if they provided calibration info for the more knowledgeable users.
